If you're lying he feels more righteous. I think its plenty reasonable to play ff games 80% of the way through. I did with 3,4,10 and 10-2 in the past before I decided to finish them just for the sake of completion.

I dislike the end game grind unless im watching tv or something at the same time.Also I imagine most people played 7/10, not 7/8:P but I don't see anything wrong with calling yourself a fan without playing many of them. Certainly not a hardcore fan, but most people aren't hardcore.

Can anyone give me an ELI5 to explain how they did this? It kind of looks like they took all the old low-res screens and used the 'live trace' feature in Illustrator to automatically make kind of clearer versions of everything. I have experience with Illustrator but virtually no experience with video game graphics so it's interesting to me. I don't necessarily like the look of the updated version but the pixelated low res originals are a bit dated as well. Would love to see really high res versions of the original background artwork but apparently they don't exist from the research I've done.
